Service Description: Compilation of historical and recent hillshaded digital elevation models (surface models) derived through Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR) data of the Northwest Territories. The compilation represents georeferenced coverage of very high resolution data (1 m spatial resolution) of NWT communities, infrastructure corridors, and other areas of interest. Hillshaded digital surface models (HS-DSM) represent a grayscale three-dimensional representation of the natural and built environment, including bare ground, vegetation, and buildings. Models were derived from LiDAR pointclouds at 1-m spatial resolution. LiDAR vendors may have performed positional adjustments based on ground control points where necessary based on project requirements.
